My First Blog

Hello!

Just want to take a moment and introduce myself and explain why I have decided to start a blog. First and foremost, I have a love for fashion and enjoy experimenting with different fabrics, prints and colors. I am not your typical LBD, although I do love a good classic now and then as long as there is a funky twist to it.

I have always had a busy lifestyle. Starting with college where I was involved in school activities and worked part-time while pursuing my degree in Apparel Marketing. Through my studies I had the opportunity to obtain an internship in London where I worked in the buying department for a department store called House of Fraser, has anyone been there? I would consider my time in London as a stepping stone in developing my true style. London is a place where anything goes, it is almost like they throw on whatever they find on their floor and somehow it all goes together carelessly, I love it!

After finishing my degree, I moved out to the suburbs to a city I had never imagined myself living in. I got married and began a career in visual merchandising where I traveled all the time. I enjoyed the travel but not the manual labor it entailed. If you have ever done visual merchandising you know what I am talking about. Luckily I was able to stay with the same company and become an assistant buyer. I no longer travel and find myself with too much free time on my hands. This brings me to starting my blog about the one thing that always brings excitement to me no matter where I live or what I do. I hope you all enjoy my blog and look forward to discussing such difficult topics as which designer shoe is better, Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahnik?
